parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that the path to future is clear for Syrians and Resistance Front and the Syrian nation should be confident that Iran will always support it.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad here on Tuesday.
Larijani expressed hope that the Resistance Front accompanied by the Syrian nation can achieve tranquility and security as soon as possible.
Faisal Mekdad felicitated the successful elections held in Iran and expressed hope for new further success of the Iranian Parliament.
Concerning cease fire in Syria, Mekdad expressed hope that the cease fire could led to establishment of peace and tranquility in Syria and said the Syrians can participate in upcoming election peacefully to determine their own fate.
The Syrian official said that Syria's political viewpoints on international and regional issues are close to Iran's.
He said that in Geneva talks, the Syrian party emphasized a number of sensitive issues like territorial integrity, fight against terrorism and paying attention to social texture of the society.
The senior Syrian diplomat appreciated high ranking Iranian officials, especially the Supreme Leader, for supporting the Syrian nation.
